A Classic Hearth gives you the attractiveness of a real wood burning fireplace with the heating efficiency and warmth of vent-free gas space heating. No chimney or venting is required so installation is a fraction of the cost of installing a wood burning fireplace. These complete systems include a zero-clearance firebox, high efficiency vent-free gas logs, brass or black louvers and concealed controls. - Classic Hearths provide up to 33,000 BTU of clean, quiet, odorless heat. Enough to heat up to 1,100 square feet for only pennies an hour. With Classic Hearth's clean burning, 99% heat efficient burner design, the gas logs operate with out a chimney. No outside venting is required so you eliminate heat loss and cold air drafts. Ordinary vented gas fireplaces and wood burning fireplaces operate at much lower efficiencies and significantly higher costs, allowing beneficial heat to escape out the vent pipe or up the chimney. Also, since a Classic Hearth operates without electricity, it is the perfect alternative for emergency heat during power outages.
The Ultimate In Heating Comfort
- There are a variety of models so you can select the comfort setting that best suits your needs. The thermostatically controlled model will automatically modulate to maintain your desired heat output, while the manually controlled model allows you to select the heat setting and flame height you prefer. A full set of polished brass upper and lower louvers is standard with these models. The thermostatically controlled model s equipped with an automatic variable speed blower, while the remote control ready models accept a blower accessory. Thermostatically controlled models offer 28,000 BTU, the remote ready models offer 33,000... enough to heat up to 1,100 square feet.
Total Control System; A Classic Hearth with State-of-the-Art Technology
- Gone are the days when you had to stoop down or lie flat on the ground to light your pilot light or control your heat output. With Vanguard's new Total Control System Technology (TCS) Classic Hearth it's as easy as the push of a button on the hand held remote or wall switch. There is not another vent-free fireplace like this on the market! Now you can turn on your fireplace, raise and lower the flames and turn it off without ever leaving your chair. The TCS technology does require electricity to operate the fireplace remotely. However, it will operate in a manual control mode when electricity is not available, just like other Classic Hearth Fireplace Systems.
- This fireplace system offers the same great features as the standard ChaRealistic Classic Hearth... full 32" size firebox, dynamic dancing yellow flames and glowing coals, brass louvers and concealed controls. The system also includes a wall switch and hand held remote control. The optional manual or automatic blower can be installed to improve heat distribution. As with all Classic Hearth Fireplaces, it can be installed against or recessed into any wall accessible to a gas line. The TCS Classic Hearth delivers 33,000 BTU of vent-free heat enough to cover 1,100 square feet.

These options may be used with any full size ChaRealistic, Flame-Max or Total Control Classic Hearth Fireplace System. Beautifully designed mantels are available in standard cabinet and space-saving corner designs. Finished mantels are offered in off-white, stained oak and walnut stained hardwood. Unfinished hardwood mantels are ready to stain or paint. Optional hardwood bases are available to match all standard and corner mantels. Marble laminate trim is offered for the standard hardwood hearth bases. Slim marble laminate hearth bases are available and can be paired with any mantel. Firebox perimeter brass trim is also offered separately for custom installations and covers unfinished edges. A brick liner is also available.
